BREAKING: Christine Blasey Ford Releases Prepared Testimony Before Thursday's Hearing

According to multiple reports, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is prepared to testify about the impact Judge Brett Kavanaugh's alleged sexual assault had on her over the course of her life.

"Brett's assault on me drastically altered my life. For a very long time, I was too afraid and ashamed to tell anyone the details," Ford's testimony says, according to CNN. "I am terrified. I am here because I believe it is my civic duty to tell you what happened to me while Brett Kavanaugh and I were in high school."

Before going into detail of her alleged sexual assault, Ford reminded people about the impact coming forward has had on her.

“I have had to relive my trauma in front of the entire world, and have seen my life picked apart by people on television, in the media, and in this body who have never met me or spoken with me,” Ford's testimony says, according to The Washington Post. “I have been accused of acting out of partisan political motives. Those who say that do not know me. I am a fiercely independent person and I am no one’s pawn.”

Ford admits to not remembering all the details but wants to share the ones she does remember.

"I don't have all the answers, and I don't remember as much as I would like to," Ford says. "But the details about that night that bring me here today are ones I will never forget. They have been seared into my memory and have haunted me episodically as an adult."

Ford says Kavanaugh and her knew of one another because for a short period of time during their freshman and sophomore years when their group of friends "intersected." According to Ford, she was friends with one of Kavanaugh's classmates, which resulted in them being at numerous parties together.

“We did not know each other well, but I knew him and he knew me,” she says.

She says that the party that her and Kavanaugh allegedly attended together was a "spur of the moment gathering." She had a beer on the first floor of the house the two were allegedly at. Ford says Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, were "visibly drunk."

Ford alleges that she was pushed into a bedroom upstairs at which point Kavanaugh and Judge allegedly locked the door behind her and turned up the music. She says she was pushed onto the bed and that Kavanaugh "groped" her, "running his hands all over my body.”

The most shocking statement in Ford's testimony is about her feeling like Kavanaugh was going to kill her.

“I believed he was going to rape me,” Ford's testimony says, according to WaPo. “I tried to yell for help. When I did, Brett put his hand over my mouth to stop me from screaming. This was what terrified me the most, and has had the most lasting impact on my life. It was hard for me to breathe, and I thought that Brett was accidentally going to kill me.”

Ford continues to assert that her only motivation in coming forward and testifying is her desire to make the Senate Judiciary Committee aware of the type of person they're considering putting on the Supreme Court.

"It is not my responsibility to determine whether Mr. Kavanaugh deserves to sit on the Supreme Court. My responsibility is to tell the truth," Ford testimony says, according to CNN.
