Farrakhan's Force Watched Over Obama's Hood

William Ayers's 1997 book on juvenile justice contains some eye-opening details about the neighborhood Ayers resided in with Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan.

On page 82 of “A Kind and Just Parent” Ayers writes that his: “neighbors include Muhammad Ali, former mayor Eugene Sawyer, poets Gwendolyn Brooks and Elizabeth Alexander and writer Barack Obama. Minister Louis Farrakhan lives a block from our home and adds, we think a unique dimension to the idea of “safe neighborhood watch:” the Fruits of Islam, his security force has an eye on things twenty-four-hours a day.” [emphasis mine].

Farrakhan has spoken fondly of Obama, even suggesting Obama is a “Messiah" in the past."

“You are the instruments that God is gonna use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth,” Farrakhan said at “Saviors Day” event last February. “And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn’t care anything about. That’s a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking.”
