"Senator Obama was out in Ohio and had an encounter with a guy who is a plumber...Joe wants to buy the business he was in for twleve years, but he looked at your tax plan and found he was going to pay a lot higher taxes....which was going to cause him to not be able to employ people. Joe was trying to achieve the American Dream.. Joe, I'll keep your taxes low...I will not stand for a tax increase on small business income. "
Obama tries to dismiss the attack and said "He's been watching some ads of Senator McCain's." He went on, "We both want to cut taxes, the difference is who do we want to cut taxes for," Obama said.
McCain comes back with "Obama told Joe the Plumber he needs to give his money to Senator Obama...I want Joe the Plumber to spread that wealth around. The whole premise behind Senator Obama's plans are class warfare, spread the wealth around."
