Re: Veep Predictions

I don't make predictions, but I can tell you Family Research Council President Tony Perkins is hoping McCain will pick Mike Huckabee, Mark Sanford or Bobby Jindal.

I was at a media breakfast meeting with him this morning and that was just one of the interesting things we talked about. (Other stuff is filed HERE on my story about Obama calling pro-lifers "liars.")

Perkins said Romney would be "acceptable" but not a "home run" like the other three.

Aside from that, I think Meg Whitman's stock as a veep pick got a lot higher when McCain named her as one of the three people he admired most at the Saddleback forum.
