What We're Thankful For: Happy Thanksgiving from the Townhall Team

The editorial team here at Townhall would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. Here are some of the things we're thankful for in 2018:

If you want to live a happy life, you must be grateful. I am endlessly thankful for all the blessings in my life and can also appreciate the challenges. This year, I’m especially grateful for hitting my first wedding anniversary with my wonderful husband, good health, four paws greeting me at the end of long days, parents who are happily married and a supportive sibling. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my gratefulness to be an American and to those in the United States military who sacrifice the most to defend our way of life. Finally, thanks to my incredible Townhall team for getting us through another election. Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m thankful for my health, my family, my friends, my teammates at Townhall and Fox News, and an overall eventful year — with another big one on the way!  So grateful for the people in my life, plus a pretty great dog.  And I’m very thankful for the Big Ten West champion Northwestern Wildcats. Beat Illinois, then see you in Indy!

- Guy Benson, News Editor

This year, like every year, I’m thankful to God, my family (particularly an adorable niece), friends and coworkers. I can’t wait to see what’s waiting in 2019.

- Cortney O’Brien, Managing News Editor

I'm thankful for the wonderful opportunities I've gotten to travel abroad and experience new things this year. I'm also thankful as always for the support of my family and friends.

- Lauretta Brown, Managing Web Editor

There is a lot to be thankful for this year. As with every year, I’m thankful to be an American, to have a happy and loving family, and having a healthy family as well. Seriously, folks, if you’re happy and healthy, along with your family—what else is there? I’m also grateful to be surrounded by great friends and co-workers. Of course, we should all be thankful for our men and women in uniform, who allow us to celebrate in peace and safety. Keep them and their families in your thoughts today, as many are probably celebrating Turkey Day away from their loved ones. To our law enforcement that keep us safe at home, thankful for their service and hope all return from their shifts safely today. Every year has been a blessing. I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. Travel safely!

P.S. Also very thankful that Donald J. Trump is the president of the United States—that…I can tell you.

I'm incredibly thankful for a loving, supportive family and to be an American. Thank you to the men and women in uniform who defend our country. Without you, Thanksgiving – and our freedoms – would not be possible. And thank you to my coworkers for allowing me to be part of this amazing team. I can't wait to see what 2019 has in store!

- Beth Baumann, Associate Editor

I’m thankful for my wonderful and loving family, the freedom I have in America, and many other blessings that I often take for granted. And of course, Tom Brady and (despite her political activities) Taylor Swift.

- Tim Meads, Weekend Editor

This year, as always, I am thankful for all of God’s blessings—my family, friends, health, job, and living in the greatest country in the world. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
