Newt Gingrich Tells Georgia Voters Not to Listen to 'Destructive' Lin Wood and Sidney Powell

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, an ally of President Trump, encouraged Georgia voters not to take the advice of Lin Wood and Sidney Powell. The pair of lawyers, advocating to overturn the results of the election on account of “widespread fraud,” are encouraging Georgia Republicans to stay home on January 5, rather than voting to reelect GOP Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

Their strategy is not only misguided, but also dangerous for the future of the country. If Sens. Perdue and Loeffler do not win their respective runoff elections, control of the Senate will be handed over to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who hopes to fast-track Joe Biden’s agenda. Democrat candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have already made it clear that they will serve as rubber stamps for the Democratic caucus.

Gingrich took note of this, and said that both Wood and Powell are acting in a “destructive” way.

While claiming to be a strong conservative and ally for President Trump, it turns out that Wood’s voting record hardly aligns with Republicans. He even voted for failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams in 2018.

President Trump himself has rebuked the deranged idea suggested by Wood and Powell, and encourages Republican voters to go to bat for Sens. Perdue and Loeffler. The president plans to visit the Peach State on Saturday to rally supporters on behalf of the pair of senators.
