With That Call, Michael Moore Admits There Really Isn't Any Democrat Running Who Can Beat Trump

After six hours of debating about when to destroy private health insurance, when to make abortion a taxpayer-funded enterprise, when to raise taxes, when to smash the rich, when to give illegal aliens health care, and when to open the borders and not enforce immigration laws, it’s quite clear that there’s not a single person who can defeat Donald Trump in the current 2020 Democratic crop. It’s children of the corn, folks. Former Vice President Joe Biden did better, but it wasn’t a grand slam. Yeah, it’s nice to see he had a pulse this time, but it’s apparent why this man was never a frontrunner when he ran for president in years past.

Former President Barack Obama was also torched this week by the current 2020 crop; the most popular Democrat in recent memory is being put through the shredder in order to take down Biden to defeat Trump. That’s idiocy. By all means, Democrats keep setting your party ablaze, but that’s not good optics at all. The 2020 Democratic agenda is trash. It’s not popular and if the polling shows anything—it’s that the Democratic bubble has only become denser. It’s bad. There is not a single winning issue Democrats are peddling right now. And no, it’s not even health care anymore because the two facts that Democrats avoid in painful fashion is that a) their proposal will kill private insurance, which means 100-plus million health care plans will be cannibalized; and b) it will be the mother of all tax increases, especially on the middle class. Both are poison pills with the electorate.

So, who can save Democrats in 2020? Well, liberal activist Michael Moore has one name: Michelle Obama. No, that’s not quite fair, he does name Biden, Sanders and a few others who could beat Trump (though admits they would lose in the Electoral College, which is all that matters), but he says it must go further. Trump just can’t be beaten. He has to be crushed and only former first lady Michelle Obama can do that (via Washington Examiner):

Moore was on MSNBC following Wednesday night's presidential debate. He said that four candidates — former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts — could beat Trump but still end up losing the Electoral College.

The only way to remove Trump, is to crush Trump," he stated. "Who is the street fighter that can crush Trump? And frankly, I think there’s a person that could do this, if the election were held today, there is one person that would crush Trump — and she hasn’t announced yet. And her last name rhymes with Obama. In fact, it is Obama. Michelle Obama."

"Everybody watching this right now knows she is a beloved American and she would go in there and she would beat him, she would beat him in the debates, he wouldn’t be able to bully her, he wouldn’t be able to nickname her and she is beloved, all — just go to C-SPAN and follow her book tour across the country. She’s playing 15,000-seat arenas in the Midwest. They have to turn people away," Moore continued.

Okay, first, let’s get real here. A book tour and a national presidential campaign are two very different creatures that attracted different folks. Two, yes, she is popular, but does she want to run? I don’t think she does. I think she is someone who really didn’t want to be in the limelight of the national media from the outset of Obamamania. Well, to start, she didn’t think her husband could win. She, like Hillary, isn’t going to do it. She doesn’t seem like the person willing to endure the scrutiny and media attention of a national campaign and both she and the former president were quite clear about their future plans after Barry left 1600: no more. Yes, Beto (aka white guy Bob) O’Rourke also said he wouldn’t run for president and then did, but Michelle is not Bob. She’s not an idiot. Bob is a moron and has zero chance of winning the Democratic nomination or the presidency.

The Obamas may be wrong, but they’re not idiots. And given how insane the party has become and the agenda they’re running, Michelle jumping in and having to own that to win just isn’t worth it. Sorry, Mike, Trump is going to win another term.

UPDATE: Like we said, not a chance in hell she’s running (via Daily Caller):

Obama told twelve-year old journalist Hilde Lysiak, that there is “zero chance” she will seek the Oval Office in the future according to an interviewpublished Thursday in Amtrak’s The National Magazine.

Lysiak asked Michelle Obama whether she would ever enter the presidential contest.

“A lot of people want you to run for president. You’ve publicly said that you aren’t interested, but everyone says that until they actually run,” Lysiak noted. “Just between us, if you thought the country needed you and you thought you could really help our nation, is there even a one percent chance you’d consider running?

Just between us, and the readers of this magazine — there’s zero chance,” Obama said. “There are so many ways to improve this country and build a better world, and I keep doing plenty of them, from working with young people, to helping families lead healthier lives. But sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office will never be one of them. It’s just not for me.”
