Top Trump Adviser Stephen Miller Reportedly Refused To Leave CNN After Interview

Tim wrote about Stephen Miller’s interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper yesterday. It was a doozy. The entertainment value couldn’t have been higher. Love him or hate him, Miller, a senior adviser to President Trump, did his job. Bash CNN; say what the news media is missing, and trash an error-ridden tell-all book about the internal dynamics of the Trump White House. Miller railed against how CNN is a 24-hour anti-Trump network, whereas Tapper tried to get some clarity on aspects of the book, specifically the rather nasty split between Trump and Steve Bannon. After Miller began repeating himself and Tapper felt that he was only there to stroke the ego of Donald Trump, he cut his mic off and moved on with his program.

“There is one viewer that you care about, right now. You are being obsequious right now, and you are being a factotum to please him, okay? And I think I have wasted enough of our viewer’s time,” said Tapper. Yet, it reportedly didn’t end there. Granted, the sources are anonymous, but Business Insider reported yesterday that Miller refused to leave the CNN set and was escorted off:

White House adviser Stephen Miller was escorted off the set of CNN’s "State of the Union" on Sunday after a contentious interview with host Jake Tapper.

Two sources close to the situation told Business Insider that after the taping was done, Miller was asked to leave several times.

He ignored those requests and ultimately security was called and he was escorted out, the sources said.

CNN declined to comment.

Take what you will from this development. It could be wrong; it could be right. Whatever the case, the Trump White House has long despised CNN and Miller was unleashed like a bull in a china closet. For die-hard Trump supporters, watching this White House fight back against CNN and liberal media bias should be satisfying. Stepping back, yes—CNN has stepped on the rake multiple times this year in the reporting on this administration, as other outlets have done. From misreporting a coy fish feeding to botching dates about emails to Trump, his son, and others about a Wikileaks document dump, this network has surely shot themselves in the foot multiple times.

This is a man who fights back. We shouldn’t be shocked that he has willing aides who will do the same. It was quite the show. That is all.
