George Conway Mocks Sarah Sanders Over Mueller Report Tweet

George Conway—husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway—mocked White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders Sunday for tweeting that President Trump has been exonerated by Attorney General Barr’s summary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Conway, a lawyer, quoted Sanders and asked her to fix the typo.

“You misspelled “While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” Pls fix. Thx,” he said.

Sanders had said the “special counsel did not find any obstruction. AG Barr and DAG Rosenstein further determined there was no obstruction. The findings of the Department of Justice are a total and complete exoneration of the President of the United States.”

Barr said in the four-page letter that Muller's report cleared President Trump and his associates of colluding with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election.

Mueller did not make a determination on whether the president obstructed justice, leaving the ultimate decision up to Barr, who said there was not sufficient evidence against Trump to bring a charge.

The tweet comes after he had been trading jabs with President Trump on Twitter much of last week. Conway questioned the president's mental fitness while Trump called him a "husband of hell" who's jealous of his wife's success.
