Omarosa Releases a New Tape...This Time of a Conversation With Trump

Omarosa Manigault Newman's dismissal by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly wasn’t the only conversation she secretly recorded. On Monday, the former aide released another conservation she recorded between herself and President Trump in which the commander in chief seemed surprised over her termination.

"Omarosa, what’s going on?" the president can be heard saying on the clip that played for the first time on NBC’s “Today” show.

"I just saw on the news that you’re thinking about leaving. What happened?" Trump asks.

"General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave," Manigault Newman replied in the recording, which she said took place one day after her dismissal.

"No," Trump said. "Nobody even told me about it. You know, they run a big operation, but I didn’t know it. I didn’t know that. Damnit."

"I don’t love you leaving at all," he added.

Manigault Newman said the tape shows that Trump has no idea what goes on in the White House.

John Kelly is running this White House and Donald Trump has no clue what’s going on,” she told NBC.

“He’s being puppeted, and that’s very dangerous for this nation,” Manigault Newman added.

The tape comes after she released audio on Sunday of Kelly firing her.

On that secret recording, Kelly says: "I think it's important to understand that if we make this a friendly departure, we can all be, you know you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation."

"And then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future, relative to your reputation," he added.

Manigault Newman defended the secret recordings.

"I had to protect myself and I had no regret about it," she said on NBC.

In her memoir out this week titled “Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House,” Manigault Newman also accuses Trump of using the n-word—a claim that’s been discredited

Trump over the weekend called her a “low life.”
