GOP Senator Surprises Democratic Colleague With Birthday Cake

Sen. Chuck Grassley made an effort to keep the bipartisan cordiality on Capitol Hill going this week by surprising his colleague, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, with a birthday cake.

Feinstein turned 84 on Thursday, making her the oldest senator serving in Congress.

The cake, which was presented to her during a committee meeting, had a seal of her alma mater Stanford University on it.

Grassley and Feinstein both serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee together.
