Trump Breaks Twitter Silence to Slam 'Leaker' Comey

President Trump broke his Twitter silence Friday morning to slam former FBI Director James Comey as being a "leaker," saying he felt “total and complete vindication” after Thursday’s hearing.

“Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication…and WOW, Comey is a leaker!” he wrote.

Comey said during his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee that he gave a memo detailing when the president told him he hopes Comey could “let go” the investigation into his former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

"I didn't do it myself for a variety of reasons, but I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel," Comey said.
