Sarah Palin: "I’m On Team Rand"

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is taking sides when it comes to the political feud going on between New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul. The former vice presidential candidate said on Fox News Saturday that she’s on “Team Rand.”

“Rand Paul understands,” she told host Eric Bolling. “He gets the whole notion of don’t tread on me government. Whereas Chris Christie is for big government and trying to go-along-to-get along in so many respects,” Palin said.

Despite the fact that many people believe Christie “goes rogue,” Palin said, what he really has is a “YouTube videographer” following him around to capture those “set-up” moments making it seem that way. “But Chris Christie’s for more government and his record proves that,” she added.

Palin said Rand Paul has a “healthy libertarian streak,” which we need to see more of in our politicians.

The feud between the two possible 2016 GOP presidential candidates began at the Republican Governors Association meeting last month. Christie said the “strain of libertarianism that’s going through parties right now…is a very dangerous thought.”

Paul responded on Facebook (and Fox News) saying, “Chris Christie worries about the dangers of Freedom. I worry about the danger of losing that freedom. Spying without warrants is unconstitutional.”

The war of words didn’t end there, however.

Christie criticized Paul for all the pork barrel spending that goes on in Kentucky. And Paul responded by saying “this is the king of bacon talking about bacon.”
