Playboy Reporter Defends Outburst in Press Briefing

Playboy reporter, Brian Karem engaged in an outburst last Thursday, during a White House press briefing, where Press Secretary Sanders blamed Democrats for the “zero-tolerance" immigration policy causing parents and children to be separated at the border.

"Don't you have any empathy for what these people are going through? They have less than you do. Sarah, come on, seriously. Seriously," Karem asked Sanders, during his outburst at the briefing as reported by the Hill.

Sanders responded to his outburst by accusing Karem of trying to get TV time, "Brian, I know you want to get some more TV time, but that's not what this is about," responded Sanders.

Yesterday, Karem appeared on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” and host Brian Stelter, asked Karem if he regretted losing his temper during the briefing last Thursday.

"Brian, I have an apology to make. I apologize to every human being who's had to suffer who has less than I do and I did not come to the table sooner. I'm sorry to those people for waiting so long and holding my temper. I'm extremely angry with this administration that has lied to me, continues to lie to me," he said.

Karem said that he believes his job as a reporter is to:  “comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.”

“I was waiting for him to throw a shoe, but judging by his apparel, I don’t think he wears them,” reacted Greg Gutfeld of Fox News.

“I do wear shoes even though I am from Kentucky, Karem told Stetler.”

"Stelter said he respected what Karem was said he came off as a caricature to people who think journalists are trying to make it all about themselves. The Playboy reporter said that argument was not legitimate," reported the Washington Free Beacon
