Trump Announces More Troops to the Border

President Trump announced Thursday morning additional U.S. troops will be sent to the southern border.

The announcement comes as three caravans made up of tens-of-thousands are on their way north from Central America. Just one of them is 12,000 people.

Meanwhile, in Washington D.C. a bipartisan commission made up of 17 lawmakers met for the first time yesterday in an effort to negotiate some kind of border security deal before February 15. Without a wall to stop incoming caravans, President Trump argues Republicans are wasting their time.

He's also slamming the semantics around the border wall, which has also been called a "barrier" or "fence" over the past two months.

Lawmakers have two weeks to come up with a deal President Trump will sign before the government shuts down...again.
