President Trump Pardons the 'Most Beautiful Turkeys' and Warns Them About Subpoenas From Democrats

President Trump pardoned turkeys "Peas" and "Carrots" at the White House Tuesday just two days ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

"Thanksgivng is a time of great American traditions and today we continue a very special one. A lucky turkey gets a presidential pardon. That turkey is so lucky, I've never seen such a beautiful turkey," President Trump said in the Rose Garden, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump. "Today's lucky bird and guest of honor is named 'Peas,' along with his alternate named 'Carrots.'"

"The winner of this vote was a result of an open and fair election conducted on the White House website. This was a fair election," he continued. "Unfortunately Carrots refused to concede and demanded a recount and we're still fighting with Carrots. I will tell you we've come to a conclusion. Carrots, I'm sorry to tell you that the results did not change."

President Trump also joked about the turkeys getting subpoenas from House Democrats.

Later his remarks, President Trump decided to also pardon Carrots.
