Speaking during a joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Theresa May Friday, President Donald Trump vowed to confront Russia President Vladimir Putin about Kremlin efforts to influence U.S. elections.

Trump said he will bring up the topic at a meeting between the two leaders next week in Helsinki.

"I'll be meeting with President Putin on Monday, we go into the meeting with a tremendous meeting we had with NATO," Trump said. "We'll be talking to President Putin about a number of things: Ukraine. We'll be talking about Syria. We'll be talking about other parts of the Middle East. I'll be talking about nuclear proliferation."

"Will we be talking about meddling? I will absolutely bring that up. I don't think you'll have any, 'Gee, I did it, I did it, you got me.' There won't be a Perry Mason here I don't think," he continued. "I will absolutely, firmly ask the question and hopefully we'll have a very good relationship with Russia.

The President's remarks came just an hour before Deputy Attorney Generla Rod Rosenstein announced the indictment of twelve Russia military agents for hacking and stealing American documents and information during the 2016 presidential election.
