We are less than six hours away from President Obama's prime time address where he will tell the nation what he plans to do to
manage shrink destroy the terror army ISIS, so I thought it would be a good time to re-post this video (it's been making the rounds since Iraq started to collapse earlier this year) from 2007 of former President George W. Bush predicting exactly what we're seeing now.
Direct danger to the United States America? Check. Losing Iraq to Al Qaeda aka ISIS now? Check. Mass Killings on a horrific scale? Check. Terrorists establishing a safe haven in Iraq (and in this case, Syria too)? Check. Increasing the probability that American troops may have to return at a later date to "confront an enemy that is even more dangerous"? Check.
What we're seeing now in Iraq is what happens when politics trumps history and advice from commanders on the ground. President Obama making the choice of politics is why we're in the position we are today with ISIS. Lets hope he presents a real, coherent plan tonight about how to move forward.
