Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and President-elect Donald Trump have remained close over the years. Trump, an avid boxing fan and promoter, was visited by the 39-year-old five-division world champion inside of Trump Tower in November.
TMZ Sports released a video of Mayweather declaring his plans for the inauguration next week.
“Barack Obama was a good president and, hopefully, Donald Trump is a good president,” Mayweather said.
“We don’t know what can happen in life,” Mayweather said of Trump. “Only thing we can do is keep our fingers crossed, pray and hope for the best.”
