Montel Williams Storms Off O'Reilly Show Because of "Some Gay Thing"

Famed TV star Montel Williams was scheduled to interview with Fox News host Bill O'Reilly during Wednesday night's coverage of the Republican National Convention.  However, because of "some gay thing" as O'Reilly said, Williams walked from the screening area just seconds before he was scheduled to appear on live TV.

O'Reilly ripped Williams for walking out.

“He will never be never be on this program again. He’s not a man of his word, he’s unprofessional,” he said. “That is about as low as it gets.”

Williams was on CNN and tried to offer clarity to the situation.  He said that the interview was supposed to be about a speech focused on LGBT rights and a recent poll suggesting that Barack Obama was a racist. However, when Williams arrived at the Fox News station, he was told the segment would only be about the Obama poll numbers.

“Suddenly Eric Bolling is involved and it’s all about Obama being a racist,” Williams said.  “I’m solely focused on my (LGBT) speech,” he said. “When that was eliminated, why stay?” he added.
