Alabama Governor Refuses Obama's Refugees

Governor Robert Bentley of Alabama has joined Michigan Governor Rick Snyder in refusing to accept Syrian refugees into his state.

Late Sunday night, Bentley responded to recent outcry from the citizens of Alabama in regards to the Syrian refugee crisis and Obama's plan to bring hundreds of thousands to the United States. Port towns like New Orleans and Mobile along the gulf coast are areas to which the president would like to see refugees delivered.

"After full consideration of this weekend's attacks of terror on innocent citizens in Paris, I will oppose any attempt to relocate Syrian refugees to Alabama through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program," Bentley said.

Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Michael McCaul R-Texas, concurred with Bentley Sunday by saying that "there are a lot of holes, gaping holes (in the State Department's Refugee Assistance Program)."
