Freed Iranian Pastor Is Now a Trump Supporter

Saeed Abedini grew up Muslim in Iran’s capital city of Tehran. When he was a young man, he even considered joining Hezbollah and killing Jews.

Everything changed when he met a Christian pastor who told Abedini that Jesus was Lord. He promptly converted to Christianity and began to work alongside that same pastor. Abedini was eventually forced to flee to America in 2005 because of the persecutions of Christians in Iran. However, Abedini made numerous trips back to his home country to spread the word of Jesus. He even began an orphanage.

During his twelfth trip in Iran in 2012, Abedini was captured and sentenced to eight years in prison. It was during this time that he believes he had a vision of Donald Trump and learned that he was meant to be President of the United States.

“I saw a young man with blue eyes, blond hair. I was sitting with him in a room,” Abedini, an evangelical Christian pastor, told The Huffington Post. “Someone told me, ‘He’s going to be the next president of the United States and you’re going to be friends with him.”

Abedini believes this “young man” in his vision was a young Donald Trump.

“I believe that this was a vision from God,” Abedini said in an interview with HuffPost. The reason God showed him a young image of Trump, Abedini explained, is because that was the age Trump was when God decided he would be president. “Because you are not Christian, maybe this does not make sense for you,” the pastor acknowledged. “You need to just read the Bible.”

Obama was able to negotiate Abedini’s release (along with three other Americans) in exchange for seven detained Iranians. He now lives in Idaho and is spreading the word on Trump. He even voted early for the Republican candidate.

Trump had Abedini’s back before he was a supporter of the Republican’s candidacy. In 2013, Trump pressured Obama to work on his release from Iranian confinement. Trump even hosted the prisoner’s wife at Trump Hotel to bring more attention to his plight.
