Jeb Bush’s Son Wants You to Make America Great Again

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree... or maybe it does. Jeb Bush made it clear a while ago that he would not be supporting Donald Trump to become the next president. His son, George P. Bush, has reached a different conclusion.

George Prescott Bush, the son of Jeb and the current Land Commissioner of Texas, told a crowd of Texas Republican activists that it was time to unite behind Trump in order to defeat Hillary Clinton.

"From Team Bush, it's a bitter pill to swallow, but you know what? You get back up and you help the man that won, and you make sure that we stop Hillary Clinton," Bush said, according to video of the remarks provided by an audience member.

Some very uniting words from the son of a man who Trump defeated in a nasty primary. Until Saturday, George P. was one of the biggest names in Texas GOP politics withholding support from Trump. He isn't the only Bush family member to show hesitation on supporting the Republican nominee. Both presidents from the Bush family skipped the GOP convention and some members of Jeb’s inner circle have either declined to endorse Trump or have announced their intentions to vote for Clinton.

Things may be awkward during the next Bush family gathering.
