Happy Father's Day

Today is Father's Day, of course, and all of us here at Townhall would like to wish every father out there a happy and blessed holiday.

Unfortunately for me, however, I won’t have a chance to see my own father today because of distance -- but I do plan on giving him a call. It’s the least I can do.

After all, Father's Day is a sacred and important holiday because it gives so many of us a chance to say thank you and recognize a parent in our lives who provided for and looked after us for so many years -- and perhaps still does. Most of us wouldn’t be where we are -- or who we are -- without our fathers. The same is true in my own family.

So to all the fathers out there: may your day be fun, relaxing and joyful! I think all of us can agree you deserve it.
