Last week we learned that Delbert Belton -- an 88-year-old World War II veteran and former aluminum factory worker from Washington State -- was savagely and inexplicably beaten to death by two teenagers who (allegedly) jumped him outside his favorite hang-out spot. Police quickly apprehended the first suspect. And now, at long last, the second suspect is finally in custody (via The Blaze).
Police in Spokane, Wash. said they have arrested the second suspect in the beating death of 88-year-old Delbert Belton.
Kenan Adams-Kinard, 16, was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. Monday morning on first-degree murder and first-degree robbery charges, police announced. Adams-Kinard was arrested without incident in a basement apartment in Spokane.
“Good investigative work and follow up on dozens of tips led to the apprehension of the suspect four days after the initial incident,” the Spokane Police Department said.
Police last week arrested 16-year-old Demetrius Glenn in connection with the murder.
Others have also been arrested in connection with the homicide for “rendering criminal assistance” -- i.e., aiding and abetting the alleged murderers.
