Dean Cain to Play Peter Strzok in New Play About 'FBI Lovebirds'

Disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok will be the subject of a new Washington D.C.-based play entitled, "FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers. The production will focus on Strzok's infamous string of anti-Trump text messages between July 2015 and July 2017 with FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom he was having an extramarital affair. The project is being advertised as "a dramatized stage reading" of the pair's correspondence and will be produced by Phelim McAleer, the author and filmmaker behind Gosnell: The Movie. McAleer also put on the 2015 play "Ferguson," in which actors read aloud the grand jury transcripts from the case involving the police shooting of an African-American man, Michael Brown. "FBI Lovebirds" will be financed via Crowdfunding.

Dean Cain, known for playing "Superman" in the TV show "Lois & Clark" and who had a feature role in Gosnell, will be starring as Strzok. The role of Page will be played by Kristy Swanson, who had the title role in the 1994 cult hit film Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

McAleer penned a press release about the project on Wednesday.

FBI Lovebirds: UnderCovers exposes what was really going on in the FBI in the run-up to the investigation into the alleged Trump/Russia collusion as senior FBI agents became increasingly alarmed that Donald Trump might win the election.

The reenactment will utilize only the exact texts between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page and transcripts of the congressional hearings where both were forensically and aggressively questioned. The staged reading will take place in the Mead Theater in Washington D.C. on June 13th. It will be filmed and released to the public shortly after the performance.

"I have taken the actual hate-filled, sleazy, juvenile, corrupt text messages of top FBI operatives and lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, and combined it with the transcript of their behind-closed-doors congressional testimony to show how they, and their Deep State colleagues, planned to take down the President of the United States. This will be revealed on stage in the very words of the FBI agents," McAleer wrote on the play's Crowdfunding page.

"This play will be filmed before a live audience in Washington, D.C. and then released online for the world to see," the page also reads. "The play/film exposes how top FBI operatives tried to destroy President Trump's campaign and his presidency by starting the 'Russia Collusion' investigation."

Swanson has been promoting the play/film on her Twitter page, but, as you can imagine, it hasn't been positively received by everyone. One social media user in particular was so irate about the project that he left her a threatening message. Swanson alerted Twitter's management team and urged them to act.

"It is shocking!" McAleer said in a statement on Thursday. "They claim to love the arts and the Hollywood left is always giving awards congratulating themselves about how brave they are, but no one from the left or Hollywood has condemned this death threat to artists and their audience - just for telling the truth."

Former FBI Director James Comey recently admitted that Strzok's and Page's infamous anti-Trump agenda damaged the agency's reputation. Lawmakers are still trying to get to the bottom of the bias.
