President-elect Donald Trump's wonder woman, Kellyanne Conway, is the newest speaker added to the 44th March for Life in Washington, D.C. As Trump's campaign manager, Conway helped Trump not only share his message, but take it to the rust belt of America - a region which Hillary Clinton largely ignored. Conway is the first woman to manage a winning presidential campaign.
“We are thrilled to have Kellyanne Conway speak at this year’s March for Life," Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life, said in a statement on Wednesday. "As the first female to run a successful presidential campaign and as a steadfast advocate for life and family issues, Kellyanne beautifully embodies the 2017 March for Life’s theme, ‘The Power of One.’”
Trump has said he is pro-life and pro-life organizations like the Susan B. Anthony List endorsed him during the campaign. He has also tapped several pro-life cabinet nominees to serve in his administration. Furthermore, the 115th Congress, led by Speaker Paul Ryan, intends to pursue efforts to defund the abortion giant Planned Parenthood.
The March for Life will take place on January 27.
