'Stronger Together': DNC Protests Already Surpass Those at the RNC

Remember how the Democrats couldn’t wait to point out the apparent division at last week’s Republican National Convention – reaching a boiling point after Sen. Ted Cruz failed to endorse GOP nominee Donald Trump during his speech? Well, the joke is on the DNC. The Democrats haven’t even officially begun their convention, and already thousands of protesters are lining the streets of Philadelphia to decry the Democratic National Committee’s “rigged” primary system that offered Bernie Sanders no shot at the nomination.

A new WikiLeaks dump on Friday proved that the DNC was out to get Sanders' campaign. The whistleblower group released 20,000 emails from the DNC that shows hostility between DNC leadership and Sanders' staff. Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz even called one Sanders aide “scummy” in one of the hacked emails. As a result, Schultz is resigning her post at the end of the week.

With this disunity in context, Sanders supporters are bringing their message to the convention’s front door. On Sunday, thousands of people, presumably angry progressives, marched through Philadelphia chanting, "Hell No, DNC, we won't vote for Hillary."

The RNC finished with only a couple dozen arrests. I have a feeling the tally won’t be so conservative this week.
