Investigative Panel Reveals How Aborted Baby Parts Are Being Sold Like Supplies on Amazon

Thursday marks the somber one-year anniversary of the Center for Medical Progress’ investigation into Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of aborted baby parts. The revelation stunned Americans, prompted Congress to move forward with the defunding of Planned Parenthood and spurred the creation of the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives. The panel, led by Chairman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) revealed some disturbing findings Thursday on Capitol Hill from their Interim Report.

“Baby body parts are viewed as office supplies, that can be ordered from an Amazon-like order form," said Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA) matter-of-factly.

Order forms on websites for fetal tissue procurement businesses allow customers to choose whichever body part they want like they were choosing a T-shirt.

“It’s a market,” Pitts continued. “It’s utterly repulsive.”

“This business is a fetal corpse market,” he concluded.

Fellow panelist Rep. Diane Black (R-TN) said she is “proud” of the committee’s work, but “troubled” by their discoveries.

The fetal procurement company StemExpress, for instance, the panel found, marked up the price for aborted parts by 400-600 percent when selling samples to researchers, proving that these businesses are putting profits before patients.

The committee faces obstruction from Democrats and others have refused to comply with their subpoenas, yet Black is “more certain than ever” of the need for the panel’s work.
