CJ Werleman, a Salon.com contributor who writes extensively on atheism, made an interesting contrast on Twitter Monday:
Red Cross estimates the U.S. murdered 1.2 million Iraqi civilians. But it only takes two dead journalists before "they" are the barbarians.— CJ Werleman (@cjwerleman) October 7, 2014
Yep, America is more barbaric than the terror group ISIS, according to Werleman. I quickly took a screenshot of the tweet, believing Werleman would surely delete such an insensitive post, but my rushed action was unnecessary. The tweet is still proudly placed on his account for all to see.
Twitter isn't letting him get away with it, though:
@cjwerleman Yeah, the guys who behead humanitarians, journalists are definitely morally superior to US soldiers.— Kristopher Purcell (@purcellkris) October 7, 2014
Well put. We engage in an act of war, ISIS savagely beheads people - not exactly comparable. We're waiting for your apology tweet, Mr. Werleman.
