BREAKING: Rep. Conyers Will Not Resign After Numerous Harassment Allegations

Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) has "no plans to resign" after numerous women accused him of sexual misconduct and harassment. Conyers' attorney made the statement on Wednesday.

Allegations against Conyers began to surface last week. Since then, many on both the left and the right have called for his resignation. Journalist Cokie Roberts said over the weekend it was an open secret among the women in the press corps that Conyers was a predator, and that women should avoid being in an elevator with him.

Conyers has served in Congress since 1965. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took considerable heat when she defended him and called him an "icon."

But as for now, it looks as though he'll be sticking around.
