The DCCC's Potential 2018 Slogan Is...Something Else

This is easily the best or worst slogan of all time.

Behold, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's take on 2018: "I mean, have you seen the other guys?"

While this looked at first glance like an potential satire from a Republican firm, it's apparently quite real and part of a fundraising campaign to decide on a bumper sticker to print. Other options include "She Persisted. We Resisted," and "Make Congress Blue Again."

Wow, what splendid options! A reference to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) breaking Senate rules and then a "resistance" that's effectively gone absolutely nowhere, a cheap rip-off of the Republican president's wildly-successful campaign slogan, and a "hey, at least we're not the other guys." Woo! That's a whole lot of optimism from the Democrats, that's for sure. So inspiring.

Either way, the Democrats aren't looking too hot going into the future. The Obama era effectively wiped out an entire generation of Democratic leaders, and now their leading candidates going into 2020 are octogenarians. They haven't won any of the special elections, nor have any of the more controversial Trump nominees been shut down. Republicans control the majority of state governments, never mind both houses of Congress and the presidency. This is hardly an ideal situation for the Democrats--but hey, at least they're not the Republicans?
