Dylann Roof Asserts He's Not Mentally Ill, Does Not Regret Shooting

Convicted Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof testified in court today during a sentencing hearing that he does not have a mental illness nor does he feel any guilt for murdering nine parishioners at the Mother Emanuel AME church last summer. Roof said that there was "nothing wrong with [him] psychologically" and that he chose to represent himself during this phase of his trial because he did not want a lawyer to claim he had a mental illness.

Roof also said that he does not feel any remorse for his actions.

Roof faces the death penalty.
