VIDEO: College Students Don't Think America Is Exceptional

Young people don't think America is exceptional, according to a new video produced by the Young America's Foundation. Shot at George Washington University, the "man-on-the-street" style interview asks students whether or not they think America is exceptional, and to define what exactly American exceptionalism is. Not a single person interviewed believed that America was exceptional.

Citing “Christopher Columbus and colonialism and westward expansion” as negatives, students had very little, if anything positive to say about the nation that has afforded them the right and ability to attend a $50,000/year school.

Recent events have shown colleges and universities to be hostile to conservatives, free speech, and anyone or anything who does not mindlessly join the battle against the latest microaggression du jour.

Sad. If students aren't taught to value something, they'll see no need to fight for it.
