John Kasich Releases First TV Ad for New Hampshire

Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich has released his first campaign ad, which is currently airing in New Hampshire. In the ad, Kasich touts his resiliency and ability to prove doubters wrong.

Kasich has adopted #NeverGiveUp as the tagline of his campaign.

This is a pretty safe, standard first campaign ad, and it seems as though Kasich is adopting the opposite strategy as Donald Trump, who also launched his first ad. While Trump's was basically engineered to spark controversy, Kasich played it safe and portrayed himself as a regular, down-to-earth American from a working-class background--just like many New Hampshire natives. While he's polling decently in New Hampshire, perhaps this ad could give him a bit of a boost.
