Internet Reacts to Hobby Lobby Decision

Following today's landmark decision in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby, the internet had a pretty wide range of reactions.

The RNC was elated:

This decision protects the religious freedom that is guaranteed to all Americans by the First Amendment, and we're grateful the Court ruled on the side of liberty. The central issue of this case was whether the federal government can coerce Americans to violate their deeply held religious beliefs, and thankfully the Court has upheld the proper limits on the government's power.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal tweeted a good joke that turned out to be a little more accurate than he intended:

Sandra Fluke had a case of the (inaccurate and misleading) sads:

Susan B. Anthony's list called the ruling a victory for both religious freedom and women's rights:

“We thank the courageous Hahn and Green families for standing strong. They have had to endure the abuse of the radical abortion lobby and others who say they respect diversity but, in fact, endorse and impose conformity. Their message that women want free abortifacient drugs – and that they value these drugs above religious liberty – is demeaning to all American women and will be rejected by voters nationwide this fall,”

“Today, the Supreme Court ruled against American women and families, giving bosses the right to discriminate against women and deny their employees access to birth control coverage," Richards said in a statement. "This is a deeply disappointing and troubling ruling that will prevent some women, especially those working hourly-wage jobs and struggling to make ends meet, from getting birth control."
