BREAKING: At Least Four Police Officers Shot In Philadelphia; UPDATE: Scene Is Still Active, Six Officers Wounded

UPDATE (10:50 p.m. EST):

Everyone who was in the house with the shooter has been released. All officers who were shot were released from the hospital.

UPDATE (10:00 p.m. EST):

The scene still remains active but two police officers who were inside the house with the gunman have been released. 

UPDATE (8:33 p.m. EST):

Philly Mayor Jim Kenney (D) talked about how lucky one of the officers was. A bullet grazed his head but had it been closer, he would have been struck, which would have dramatically changed that family's lives.

UPDATE (8:15 p.m. EST):

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross confirmed officers were serving a narcotics warrant when the suspect opened fire.

According to CBS Philadelphia, the gunman was live streaming part of the shootout with police.

Police are still attempting to negotiate with the shooter.

“We are trying to get him to come out peacefully, but he is refusing to do so,” Ross said. He said it appears the gunman won't surrender.

Officers are trying to get the gunman to surrender. 

UPDATE (6:52 p.m. EST):

According to a Philadelphia journalist, narcotics officers produced a warrant and were arresting people when the shooting broke out. This account has yet to be verified by police.

According to Philadelphia Police Sgt. Eric Gripp, five officers have been shot but their injuries are non-life threatening. Right now police want news media outlets to stay out of the area.

Gripp says the suspect is still firing.

It's unclear if there is more than one shooter and if a person is actually in custody.

At least four police officers in North Philadelphia's Nicetown-Tioga section, a predominantly residential area, were shot Wednesday afternoon, CBS Philadelphia reported. The four officers were rushed to Temple University Hospital. A fifth officer with non-life threatening injuries was also taken to the hospital. 

At least one suspect was one suspect has been taken into custody, NBC Philadelphia reported.

Temple University was placed on lockdown.
