BREAKING: Suspicious Package Addressed to Maxine Waters Found in Los Angeles Postal Facility

The FBI tweeted, confirming that the packages meant for Waters are similar to ones sent to other prominent political figures earlier in the day.

A Los Angeles postal facility was evacuated late Wednesday evening after a suspicious package addressed to Rep. Maxine Waters (D) was found. 

According to the San Diego Union Tribune, LAPD and the ATF are on-scene investigating the package. They plan to use a robot to examine the package.

LAPD received the call around 2 p.m., the Los Angeles Times reported. 

The police department took to Twitter to alert residents about the bomb thread:

A similar package addressed to Waters was intercepted earlier in the day in Maryland.

Other members of Congress and CNN headquarters received similar packaged earlier in the day.
