BAM: Campaign Staffers Admit Heitkamp Will Be 'Super Liberal' If Re-Elected (VIDEO)

Project Veritas Action on Tuesday released undercover footage of Sen. Heidi Heitkamp's staffers admitting that her campaign tactic is to "bait and switch" voters.

The idea behind Heitkamp's reelection efforts are simple: be vague, don't take any positions on issues and focus on saying whatever people want to hear.

“It’s an election year for her. She’s being careful about pissing people off, and … said basically like, after the election, if and when she gets re-elected, she’s going to be super liberal," Digital Director Jesse Overton told an undercover Project Veritas journalist.

While Heitkamp is "playing it safe" right now, if she's reelected to a third term, she'd move further to left. Prescott Robinson, who is listed as an intern on LinkedIn, said Heitkamp's policy positions will be determined by the political landscape in Washington.

“Maybe she wins by twenty points and she goes ‘okay I can be a little more progressive,'" Robinson explained. “And it also depends, if she starts supporting something, and then the calls come screaming in, maybe she goes back.”

Interestingly enough, Robinson admitted that Heitkamp is just like every other politician out there.

"The thing with politicians is that they're politicians...If the country moved further to the left she would move to the left," Robinson explained. "Like I think that if we had a Democratic Senate, she would vote for more policies that you see more Democrats support."

Staffers also admitted that Heitkamp is doing everything in her power to distance herself from President Barack Obama. She wants to appear to be more centrist than she actually is because she represents a state that Trump won by 20 points.
