'Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer': A Heart Wrenching, Must-See Movie (VIDEO)

'Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer': A Heart Wrenching, Must-See Movie (VIDEO)

If you're looking for a must-see movie this fall, look no further. The "Gosnell" movie tells the story of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, an abortion doctor of 30 plus years, who was charged with killing multiple infants and one women, although many believe that number is in the hundreds.

The investigation into Gosnell began when the FBI, DEA and Philadelphia police department conducted a joint raid on the doctor's clinic. He was suspected of provided prescription drugs illegally.

While looking for evidence of drug sales, law enforcement officials discovered baby bodies stored in containers around the office and in bags in the lunchroom refrigerator. The discoveries didn't sit right with investigators, which caused them to look into Gosnell further.

To make things even more complicated, Assistant District Attorney Lexi McGuire, who helped lead the police investigation and prosecution, had just returned from maternity leave. Taking on the case and prosecuting Gosnell was a major risk for McGuire. She had ambitions to work in the Governor’s office and losing the case could have ended her career politically.

McGuire worked to process this highly controversial case, all with very little media attention.

Follow the horrific journey investigators went through as they discovered the depths of Gosnell's practice and the number of women he hurt and the number of babies he murdered. If you're unsure how you feel about abortion, this movie will single-handedly change your mind.

"Gosnell" is a crowdfunded movie, which raised over $2.3 million in 45 days. At the time, the movie was the most successful movie campaign on IndieGoGo and the most successful non-celebrity movie on any crowdfunding platform.

The movie will be in theaters Friday, October 12th.
