Rapper Yelawolf Takes Shots At Post Malone On New Track

This past Sunday, rapper Yelawolf (real name Michael Wayne Atha) released an incendiary freestyle targeting rappers Machine Gun Kelly, G-Eazy and Post Malone.

This "Bloody Sunday" freestyle is Yelawolf's latest in a weekly series of improvised verses that's been running since January of this year. The Cherokee MC announced that he would continue posting these freestyles leading up to the release of his upcoming album "Trunk Muzik 3."

However, this particular freestyle not only came with its own video, but several disses against other popular rappers. His biggest target was G-Eazy, a popular white rapper from Oakland, CA.

"Is this the guy that said he was the hottest white boy since the one with dyed blonde hair?"

Yelawolf is referring to a verse from Eazy's single "Calm Down," where he makes the claim that he's the best caucasian rapper since Eminem (real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III). Mathers happens to be Yelawolf's label boss; he was originally signed to Shady Records before founding his own label Slumerican.

Yelawolf went to bat for his boss again in a minor diss against rapper Machine Gun Kelly, another white rapper from Houston.

"Trunk Muzik 3 bruh, you gon' know how I feel about MGK."

Kelly recently had a minor beef with Eminem which began with inappropriate comments by Kelly about Mather's daughter in 2012 on Twitter. It ended with Eminem's "Killshot" in 2018.

The diss that's been causing the most stir, however, was aimed at Post Malone, a rapper-turned-singer.

"Who else? I would diss Post Malone but he don't even rap," Yelawolf begins. What follows are several bars of mocking Malone from everything from his ridiculous face tattoos (which Yelawolf implies were copied from him) to his metal teeth.

Malone responded to Yelawolf's verses on Tuesday on Twitter. (Warning: Graphic Language!)

Despite the back and forth between the two entertainers, it's unlikely to evolve into a legitimate rap beef. The cuts from Yelawolf are soft shots at best and Malone didn't even bother releasing a response track.

However, the video has renewed hope for fans of the Alabaman rapper. The title includes the promise "TM3 Coming Soon," with the video description promising the same. Unfortunately, the exact release date for "Trunk Muzik 3" has yet to be disclosed and no singles have been released ahead of the record as of yet.
