GOP presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty sending first Iowa mailer, names state co-chairmen

DES MOINES, Iowa — Republican presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty is introducing himself to Iowans by mail this week, sending his first mailing advertisement of the 2012 caucus campaign.

The mailer features pictures of Pawlenty and his wife, Mary. It’s expected to land into the mailboxes of thousands of likely Iowa caucusgoers by Thursday.

Iowa’s caucuses begin the nominating season next year.
