ABC News’ Devin Dwyer (@devindwyer) reports: The Washington State college student who was the target of a lewd photo posted to Rep. Antony Weiner’s Twitter account Friday appears to be defending her electronic ties to the congressman.

A posting to the account @GennetteC, believed to belong to 21-year-old Gennette Cordova, says she became a Twitter “follower” of Weiner after seeing him on a Fox News program two months ago.

“Actually, I became a fan after I saw him demolish Bachmann on Hannity about 2 months ago,” the post says. “It was great.”

Cordova, who could not be reached for comment by ABC News, has previously said she has never met Weiner, even though one of her earlier tweets referred to Weiner as a “boyfriend” and Weiner also “followed” Cordova on Twitter.
