Members of the U.S. construction industry -- one of the hardest hit industries during the recession – are speaking out against Washington’s elite. While unemployment is 9.7 percent nationwide, it is 18.7 percent in the construction industry. And thanks to President Barack Obama, most construction contractors will not see the reversal of this disastrous trend.
Also, the current climate in our nation's capital does not bode well for entrepreneurs who run small businesses throughout the U.S. and who employ many Americans.

In other words, failing to sign an energy bill that will ultimately hurt the US economy, President Barack Obama will use government agencies to give Americans Cap and Trade by fiat, according to Chris Singerling of HaltTheAssault.com.
In order to have an impact on U.S. energy consumption, carbon emissions and climate change, the Environmental Protection Agency is expected to spearhead policies that would never pass muster with a majority of lawmakers on Capitol Hill, but will adversely affect the small business community and its employees.
Additionally, the passage of the Healthcare Bill will ultimately raise costs and taxes on business as well as limiting their choices and the one thing that was supposed to help, the tax credit, most businesses and their accountants have been unable to figure out who qualifies for such vague benefits, said Singerling
The latest Finance Bill passed by Congress contains new taxes for the small businesses already shouldering an undue portion of the burden and even worse, it will make banks less willing to lend, which will serve to ultimately make it more difficult for those businesses to finance projects and create jobs.

The freeze on lending for private sector construction projects must be addressed immediately. The long delay in lending or outright refusal by financial institutions to fund private sector projects has had an extremely detrimental impact on the construction industry.

Tax rates are too high and laws are too complex, thus inhibiting the growth of small businesses.
