I wasn’t disappointed in the least that Kevin McCarthy was ousted as Speaker of the House of Representatives. There could have been worse Speakers, but McCarthy was way too Washington for me. He is too swamp, too Uniparty, too Washington establishment. People like him are never going to do what is necessary to stop the bleeding of the United States and turn the country back to the course it needs to be on. McCarthy wasn’t the answer. He and his ilk are the problem, not the solution. Matt Gaetz may be a jerk, I don’t know, but kudos to him for trying to do SOMETHING to alter America’s direction.
Since there won’t be a Speaker for at least another few days, the government can’t do much. That’s the best news America has had in a long time. Anytime that government can’t do anything is a blessing for the American people. When was the last time Washington, D.C. did something RIGHT? I hope they drag out the new Speaker selection for years.
Jim Jordan has tossed his hat into the ring for the Speaker’s position. I haven’t done a detailed study of Jordan, but from what I have read, he would be better than McCarthy, though he may be a swamp creature, too (there aren’t many in Washington who aren’t). Jordan hasn’t exactly been moving at the speed of light in his committee in pursuing the Biden crime family, but these things do take time if they are going to be done correctly. And impeaching Biden needs to be done, but it needs to be done in such a way that the American people know what is going on, understand the crimes of the Biden family, and support the Republicans in what they are doing. Moving that massive ship does take some longevity, so Jordan, et al, do have their hands full. Jordan says he’d like the Speaker job (for some reason). Let’s see who else might want it. Preferably somebody who will flush the whole mess down the toilet.

I read that Donald Trump might be “open” to the job for “a little while.” Some on the right have been trying to get Trump there for a long time. Frankly, it might be a perfect position for Mr. Trump. He could wreak havoc in the House, and that is exactly what is needed. Somebody needs to shake up Washington, D.C. That ship must be stopped and turned around NOW! That city, virtually single-handedly—especially with Leftist ideology dominating—is destroying the United States of America. Matters simply cannot go on as they have been for decades. There has to be some serious, revolutionary change in the way the U.S. government operates. That is why McCarthy had to go. He wasn’t about to change anything. Trump might have some effect as House Speaker. I seriously doubt he can get the job, and I doubt he’d take it if offered. But he certainly couldn’t do worse than anybody else who has been Speaker since...well, since when? Newt Gingrich was maybe the best in my lifetime, but he worked within the system, he didn’t change anything. And things in Washington need to be changed.
The rabid Only Trumpers think Mr. Trump is the only person who can turn the United States around. I genuinely applaud their desire to see the country on a different course, and I agree with them 100% about that. That is why they want Trump back in the President’s chair. They honestly believe he is the only person who can save America. My problem with Trump is two-fold: his character and his electability. I think he has alienated so many people in America (including countless Republicans) with his off-putting, crass tongue and behavior that he can never get elected President again. BUT...maybe, because of the Republican majority in that chamber, he could get elected to Speaker of the House. And I wouldn’t mind, in the least, having him there. His crude, arrogant, bombastic personality might be just what that place needs. The bull in the china shop. I’ll certainly support him next year if he gets the Republican nomination for President. I just don’t think he can win a full national election. Let him be Speaker of the House for awhile and let’s have a few laughs. Certainly it would be hilarious watching the liberal media defecate bricks every time Trump breathed.
Whether all Republicans in the House would vote for Trump to be Speaker is problematic, but the majority of Americans are not going to vote for Trump for President. They didn’t even do that in 2016. Thank God for the wisdom of the Founding Fathers in establishing the Electoral College and protecting us from the stupidity of democracy. Republican Presidential candidates have won the popular vote just once since 1988. The Democrats are escorting millions of primitives into the country now with the full intention of making voters of them soon, and abolishing the Electoral College for a strict popular vote Presidential election. I’ll ask again a question I recently asked: what is the Republican plan to stop that? Silence answers back, though Ron DeSantis did say that, as President, he would remove every one of them from the country. Good luck with that.
Anyway, there is also the argument that Trump had four years as President to do something about the “Swamp,” and he didn’t make a dent. Maybe he could do more this time, but that is problematic, too. But there is no doubt that Trump in the White House would be far superior to ANY Democrat. Or RINO. But he ain’t gonna get there again. Sorry, Only Trumpers, it’s not going to happen.
Trump for Speaker? Might be fun to watch.
Trump for Speaker? Give him a shot.
Trump for Speaker? How in the world could he possibly make Washington, D.C. more of a slime pit than it already is?
Trump for Speaker.
