Here's the thing: if the 2022 election had gone as badly as the Democrats thought it would go and if Republicans' incompetence hadn't made it a complete failure, I think Biden would have graciously bowed out and said, "I'm not running." But he's stupid, arrogant, and a narcissist, and he's totally running because he thinks he won. He thinks 2022 was a giant repudiation of "extreme MAGA Republicans" and that he somehow pulled it off because America loves him.
