Why are liberals obsessed with redefining gender? Why the incessant attack on the nuclear family? It is, at its core, a concerted effort to dissolve the most fundamental of societal bonds. It is a deconstruction of the most potent natural force that binds people together, like the electromagnetic force that chains electrons to the nucleus of an atom.
As the atom is the basic building block of matter, so the family is the basic building block of any society, nation, or state — man and woman, forming a nucleus around which children may safely orbit.
Left intact, that natural structure gives rise to our greatest achievements. When broken, it unleashes chaos and apocalypse upon a nation. We’re experiencing the chaos, and worse is on the horizon.
If you can redefine the family, you can recast the structure of society, religion, and government — this is the object of liberalism, the Democrat party, statists, marxists, and every other synonymous movement that opposes God and his truth.
So what does this have to do with the latest Marvel movie about Thor, the god of thunder? Sadly, much. Thor: Love and Thunder released on streaming services a few days ago. I’m still paying for Disney Plus because I’m holding out hope for The Mandalorian and the rest of the Star Wars franchise. I know they’re doomed; I just can’t bring myself to forsake that beloved science fiction universe. It’s an illogical and desperate hope — the kind a child holds for a pet with a terminal illness. The woke Disney ghouls will eventually rise from the lower circles of Dante’s inferno and smother the art and life out of yet another beloved franchise. In doing so, they’ll destroy themselves. Liberalism is a religion of the material and is therefore, nihilistic and psychologically suicidal.
Liberal ideologues are the god butchers from Thor’s universe, destroying art and love because there’s no place for either in a materialistic universe that views mankind as mere sacks of meat. Beauty is divine and the wokesters at Disney know nothing of the eternal. They know only the ugliness that arises from meaninglessness and the utter debasement of humanity. The promise is always utopia, but the result is always annihilation. Every government based on the principles that modern liberals espouse culminate in genocide. You cannot divorce humanity from creation without sacrificing the individual’s worth. People become grist in the machinery of the state.

Thor: Love and Thunder is the antithesis of love and lacks all the natural power of truth. The movie is a gender bending ode to modern liberalism and is devoid of the electric energy generated by a truly heroic narrative. There is nothing noble in this Thor or in his company of sexually confused compatriots.
Contrary to liberal ideology, there is nothing true about the phrase, “love is love.” Love is an ideal and has objective meaning. Recasting love as a non sequitur that knows no definition beyond a tingly feeling in your nether regions conflates it with the merely prurient. In keeping with the liberal cosmology, it transforms something celestial into something animal, a product of the lizard part of your brain.
Love is not an emotion, it’s a decision — an unconditional resolve to prefer the interests of someone else above your own and to seek their highest good. It was written long ago that love “doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own…rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth.”
So how can it be love to engage in relationships that are not sanctioned by God’s truth? The history of mankind for millennia could not be more definite. There simply is no substitute for God’s pattern: one man and one woman joined in a holy, lifelong commitment. To alter this perfect formula is to tamper with the construction of God’s universe. Liberals do so at their peril. We all have the freedom to make choices, but we cannot avoid consequence — it is inexorable and as Johnny Cash sang it so poignantly, “You can run on for a long time, run on for a long time, run on for a long time, but soon or later God’ll cut you down…” A democracy cannot endure the debasement of its citizenry and this is precisely the point. In order to dismantle a government by the people and for the people simply destroy their morality. The self-governance requisite for self-government will disintegrate into a chaos ripe for a totalitarian movement if the foundation of family and truth is destroyed.
Disney has taken a great and profitable franchise and debased and mutilated it into a tool of propaganda. The great Marvel heroes and thrilling stories about inspirational universal ideals are gone. In its place are shadows, silly caricatures that clown for same sex marriage, homosexuality, lesbianism, and gender fluidity. Not all the CGI magic that Disney can offer conceals the gray, monolithic mantra from the woke left — submit or be canceled. This isn’t love, this is a message of hate.
Real inclusiveness only exists where the love of Christ reigns, because in Him we find true liberty. Love is also about sacrifice. God so loved the world that He provided a means of reconciliation for those lost in the woke abyss. Love doesn’t stand by while others blunder to their doom. Liberalism isn’t inclusive, it’s divisive, pitting one group against the other in order to draw political leverage from the conflict.
Thor: Love and Thunder is a sacrifice to the woke gods, who demand fealty and preach a gospel of hate. It is profoundly cruel to glamorize sexual confusion, leading to irreversible choices that leave their victims with the ashes of lifetime regret and sorrow. And, to utilize a medium directed at adolescents is nothing less than diabolical. But, Disney itself is just a tool and will, in turn, become a discarded husk, left in the dirt.
For me, Thor: Love and Thunder is a tombstone of sorts. Farewell to a once great summer pastime.
