OPINION

Who’s the Creep?

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

In her soon-to-be released book “What Happened”, former Secretary of State and Democrat Nominee for president in 2016 Hillary Clinton stated that she wanted to call then Republican candidate Donald Trump a “creep” during the presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis on October 9th.

According to Clinton, as she and her opponent maneuvered around the debate stage while answering questions during the debate, she felt ill at ease at times sharing the stage with Donald Trump.  Considering her history of living – at least for the sake of appearances – with a known sexual predator, it’s certainly understandable how she might experience discomfort at times around some men.

I’m wondering about all those times when she met with Barack Obama in the Oval Office if she also felt ill at ease knowing what her husband had done in that very office with a White House intern young enough to have been his daughter. Or the alleged sexual assault against White House employee Kathleen Willey that also took place within those very walls. Certainly pretty creepy one would think.

Though I haven’t actually read her newest attempt to explain away how she lost what was considered an ‘in the bag’ election – I haven’t the time nor the inclination to spend a single dime on anything connected to the Clintons - Hillary has reportedly chosen to get downright personal in her comments about her Republican opponent.

Her opinion about Donald Trump aside, it seems that Hillary continues to be in denial that the real reason she lost the election was not only because she ran a pitiful campaign, but also because she is the most dishonest, corrupt, and despicable politician to ever run for the highest office in the land.

Surrounding herself with people nearly as corrupt herself, Hillary Clinton ran a campaign devoid of content or fresh, new ideas.  She promised voters the same tired old Democrat platform of “taxing the rich” as the solution to all that ailed the American economy.

As Secretary of State for four years Hillary Clinton’s tenure at the Department of State was completely without merit or any significant achievement in the area of foreign policy.  Well, there is that ‘Reset Button’ thing with the Russians I guess.

The reality is that Hillary and her boss Barack Obama were both viewed as amateurs and with contempt by our adversary Vladimir Putin and the Russians.  Obama viewed as a lightweight, and Hillary as wholly corrupt and obsessed with power.

After all, the Russians likely were reading every e-mail she sent or received, including those from Barack Obama – the pseudonym he used fooled no one.  I suspect ole Vlad had a pretty good feel for what he could get away with in negotiating anything with the Obama Administration.

Had she won the election it’s a good bet that the United States would have followed the same dreadful foreign policy that she reigned over under the administration of Barack Obama.  America leading from behind, or actually not leading at all.  America abandoning our allies including Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East.  And America continuing to be disrespected around the world by our enemies and allies alike.

On the domestic front Hillary would have pursued an equally radical, if not more radical social agenda than her predecessor Barack Obama had sought.  Her Department of Justice would have continued to be ‘weaponized’ as it was under Attorney Generals Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch.Likely even more so.  And the investigations into her plethora of illegal activities would have come to an end, allowing Hillary and her cronies to get away with their crimes unpunished.

No, Hillary needn’t worry anymore about being ‘creeped out’ by Donald Trump.  But she should worry about the possibility of finally being held accountable for what she has done throughout her career.Enriching herself and her family with influence peddling and “play for pay” during her career in the government. And covering up for her husband’s sexual predations using intimidation tactics against those who fell victim to him.

I think that’s what most Americans find truly creepy.
