Attorney General Merrick Garland must be busy investigating parents at school board meetings or sending FBI agents into "extremist" Catholic Churches because he's missing in action on quelling violent campus riots across the country.
Much like his boss President Joe Biden, who didn't say anything directly about horrific anti-Semitic and anti-American rampages at UCLA, New York University, Columbia University, Yale, and more until they were well out of control, Garland and his army of "equity" enforcers apparently have their heads buried in the sand.
At the Ivy Leagues, students with help from outside and professional leftist agitators, continue to push limits. They're doing this because school administrations have failed to enforce the law and boundaries of their policies. Like the DOJ, the Department of Education has done nothing to uphold policies that are supposed to protect all students.
"About half of the total number arrested Tuesday during protests at Columbia University and City College of New York were unaffiliated with those schools, the mayor's office said. New data released Thursday shows that about 60% — or 102 of 170 — arrested at City College during the disbandment of a pro-Palestinian encampment were not affiliated with the school," New York Spectrum 1 News reports. "At Columbia, 32 of the 112 arrested were unaffiliated with the school, police data show. City Hall spokesperson Kayla Mamelak said unaffiliated means 'not teachers, students or administration of the school.'"
Down in Texas, firearms and other weapons were found strategically stashed away.

"A UT [University of Texas] Austin spokesperson says that guns were found on its campus hidden in a breezeway on Monday," Fox News reports. "Buckets of large rocks, bricks, steel-reinforced wood planks, mallets and chains were all found on campus belonging to protesters."
Who are these people? Where are they getting their funding? Have they traveled across state lines to sow chaos on campus? Do the activists have criminal histories or warrants? DOJ could find answers to all of these questions, and yet, they aren't even looking.
Meanwhile, Qatar, where Hamas leaders are protected in six-star hotel rooms, is the largest foreign donor to American universities.
"Qatar was the largest foreign donor to American universities and that money transferred by foreign countries like Qatar directly influenced the rise of antisemitism and anti-democratic positions and activities. Qatar focused its donations on a limited number of leading American universities to increase its influence," the Jerusalem Post reports. "Unsupervised money transfer methods included collaboration between American universities and foreign companies through joint projects."
There's fertile ground here for the DOJ to look into those transactions and whether they are being made legally. The DOJ knows how to launch investigations, especially when evidence is standing right in the open. After all, a number of agitators have proudly declared their allegiance to Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization that has been designated as such by the U.S. government for decades.
Garland is choosing not to take action because doing so would disrupt the Democratic Party's false narrative – which President Biden repeats often – that the real threat in America is right-wing, white supremacists. Clearly, it's the leftist terrorism sprawling on campuses for everyone to see.
