Illegal immigrants are continuously being handed down freebies, so it’s no wonder they feel entitled to the same things tax-paying Americans have.
A group of illegal aliens gathered at the Michigan State Capitol this week to demand that lawmakers give them driver’s licenses, calling on state Democrats to push the Drive Safe bill that would allow them to obtain a right to drive.
More than a dozen illegal immigrants ambushed the state capitol, shouting “What do we want? Driver’s Licenses! When do we want them? Now!”

The Democrat-backed legislation, co-sponsored by Democrat Majority Floor Leader Abraham Aiyash and introduced in the Senate by Democrat Majority Leader Winnie Brinks, is currently stuck in committees despite the left claiming illegal aliens should be able to get driver’s licenses so that they can take American jobs.
An opinion from Democratic Michigan Attorney General Frank Kelley allowed illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses between 1995 and 2008. However, that changed when Republican Attorney General Mike Cox stepped onto the scene.
Aiyash claimed last year that illegal aliens should have access to the same “basic freedoms” that Americans have.
“If you live in Michigan and have proven you can be a responsible driver, you should be able to obtain a license, regardless of your immigration status,” Aiyash said. “The safety of our residents should not depend on whether the federal government has figured out our broken immigration system.”
The Midwesterner pointed out that undocumented immigrants worked with Democrat activists to elect left-wing lawmakers that would grant them the so-called “rights” they think they are entitled to.
Last year, Forge Organizing credited their efforts for moving the state House to a one-seat majority for Democrats for the first time in four decades. “The electoral organizing of undocumented Michiganders tipped the scale of power in the 38th and 103rd districts, providing Democrats with a slim, one-seat majority in the House, flipping the seats that flipped the legislature,” according to the nonprofit. That, according to Forge, was “instrumental for changing the playing field and creating a pathway for the Drive SAFE bills to finally become law.” Via the Midwesterner.
The Democratic majority that took over state government in 2022 quickly vowed to make the dream a reality.
However, the Drive SAFE bills were stonewalled and have been ever since.
